This is the big introductory event of the O-Phase for the Master Geophysics. You will be welcomed by the Dean of Studies for Geophysics, given a presentation of the module handbook, the examination regulations and a brief introduction to the online portals and will also be given a tour of the Institute of Geophysics.

Starting at 9:00 am, we will start meeting in front of the student council and assign you to your groups if you have not already received your group via email prior to that time. Please allow enough time to make it to the introductory event.

Get-to-know-you games, first information and lunch

A big rallye going all over the campus. In small groups, various points of interest are being sought up, where riddles must be solved, games are being played and challenges must be mastered. The most diligent groups even get a price! Starting point is in front of the physics student council.

All interested musicians are welcome to attend the open rehearsal in preparation of the Jam Session on friday! All instruments are welcome. Meeting point is at the Fachschaft Physik, Physik-Flachbau (building 30.22), from where it is then made together on the way to the HaDiKo rehearsal room. Arrival at HaDiKo around 18:30.

Pub crawl with the associated O-Phase group and their tutors. Ask the tutors where to go!

At the end of the day there will be a joint afterparty for all groups in the bar of the student association Z10 e.V.. DJ Karim will provide a good atmosphere in the evening. This event is open-ended.

Big sports event ;) of the student council. Compete in groups of 6, climb the ranks and win a nice price!

At the end of the day, you can also have a relaxing evening at the university cinema, where you can watch the original version of the movie Poor Things. There will be popcorn and admission is free.

Welcome event of the 4th day. Directly afterwards, students from higher semesters will present the different minor subjects. Those are an important part of the physics bachelor's degree at KIT and should serve to open the view for other subject areas.

More group time for remaining questions and visits. There is always something left over.

'What is it actually like to be a professor? What does your work consist of? And do you actually breathe air?' Many such questions can be asked of various professors at this extremely popular event in a pleasant atmosphere, with coffee and cake. Students and professors are equally welcome to this event - and in this way the great distance that initially exists between the two groups can be reduced somewhat.

In preparation for the upcoming party, the different groups can now visit pubs once again to fortify themselves for the evening.

The most spectacular night of the week! Here we go to the Kroko-Keller to celebrate this year's O-Phase. A DJ is on site and will be spinning for us all night long. Celebrate the best week of the year with us!

After a good dose of sleep, we offer you a veal sausage breakfast where you can start the day together. Vegan alternatives are available. A donation is requested, as this breakfast is organized by the tutors at self-cost.

For early birds: Short guided tour (approx. 1h) through the Scientific Computing Center (SCC) of the KIT. The SCC is responsible for the central infrastructure of the KIT and is certainly worth a look. Registration for this event is necessary as places are limited. Registration opens on Monday, 14.10.2024. In addition, there is also a later guided tour at 14:00. Meeting point is in the foyer of the SCC, building (20.20). Please note the following information: In the event of a fire alarm, leave the server rooms calmly and orderly. Do not leave the marked area and stay together as a group. Taking photographs is not permitted. Servers make noise. Do not touch any devices or similar!

Traditional final event of the O-Phase. We used to have a barbecue, but today we're having pizza together instead, accompanied by music from the Ersti-Band. Have a great time with music and eat pizza!
